"Managing projects to completion, with an alert eye on quality, cost, and time, is something most of us need to do on an ongoing basis. In this course, we break down project management into its fundamental components and galvanize your understanding of the key concepts with an emphasis on practical application and execution of service-based IT and InfoSec projects. Since project managers spend the vast majority of their time communicating with others, throughout the week we focus on traits and techniques that enable effective technical communication. As people are the most critical asset in the project management process, effective and thorough communication is essential." - Jeff Frisk

“With the industry focus on risk management and continuous monitoring versus passive compliance based information assurance, MGT525 is highly relevant. SANS Institute’s MGT525 project management course breaks down project management into its fundamental components with an emphasis on practical application and execution of service-based IT and Information security projects. Clear communication is often times a stumbling point for highly technical people, throughout the course we focus on traits and techniques that enable effective project related communication. Anyone working with projects that are risk sensitive and have time, cost, or quality constraints will benefit.” Jeff Frisk, MGT525 course author and instructor.

“PMI’s recent survey of training providers shows that 80 percent of organizations seeking suppliers of project management training strongly prefer to work with PMI R.E.P.s. They view their affiliation with PMI, as the leading standard-setting professional association for project management, as a stamp of quality on the training services they purchase,” said Edwin Andrews, Ph.D., director of academic and educational programs and services at PMI. “Organizations want to protect their investment in project management training, and they know that a PMI R.E.P. delivers such training in a cost-effective and efficient manner.”
